Is ShotScreen Cloud in the App Store version?
Yes. ShotScreen Cloud is available in both the Gumroad and Mac App Store versions. On the App Store, Cloud Plus is billed through Apple.
Capture a screenshot, recording or GIF and ShotScreen Cloud uploads it in the background and drops a short share link on your clipboard, ready to paste anywhere. You choose how long each link lives, protect it with a password, and put it on your own address and branding. Everyone you send it to just clicks and views, with no app to install.
Take a screenshot, screen recording or GIF the way you always do: area, window or full screen. Nothing changes about how you capture.
ShotScreen sends the file straight to your ShotScreen Cloud in the background, with the expiry time and optional password you chose.
A short share link is copied for you automatically. Paste it into any chat, ticket or email. The person on the other end just clicks and views, no app needed.
Each link is yours to shape: how long it lives, who can open it, and what it looks like when they do.
Pick how long each link stays alive, from 24 hours to never. When it expires, the file is gone and the space is freed.
Lock any share behind a password so only the people you tell can open it. Cloud Plus.
Share screen recordings (mp4, mov) and animated GIFs with the same one-click link. Cloud Plus.
Group shots into folders and share a whole folder as one gallery page instead of a pile of separate links.
Tag your uploads and filter the app and web gallery by tag, so you find anything back in seconds.
See and manage every share in your browser. Sign in with a passkey or scan a QR from any device.
Wipe every upload and all account data from the server whenever you want, with a single button.
Cloud Plus gives you a you.shotscreen.cloud subdomain right away. Prefer your own name? Point a domain at ShotScreen Cloud with a CNAME record plus a TXT record to verify you own it.
Use a subdomain like share.yourdomain.com. Pointing an apex (root) domain such as yourdomain.com at the cloud would take over your entire website.
Add your logo, name, accent colour and a tagline. Set a page background (a colour or an image, with optional blur) so every link you send looks like part of your own product, not a generic upload.
The accent colour flows through to the "Copy link" button and the highlights on the page.
Design reviews, shipped fast.

Uploaded files are served from a dedicated usercontent domain, kept apart from shotscreen.app so the main site is never in the blast radius.
The actual file is reached through signed URLs that expire quickly, so a link cannot be scraped and reused forever.
Every share page carries a report-abuse link, so anything harmful can be flagged and taken down fast.
You decide how long each link lives (down to 24 hours) and you can delete any share, or all of them, at any moment.
ShotScreen Cloud comes free with ShotScreen Pro. Cloud Plus lifts every limit and unlocks branding, video, passwords and your own domain.
ShotScreen Cloud is in both the Gumroad and Mac App Store versions. Get Pro for the built-in Cloud, or go straight to Cloud Plus for branding, video and your own domain.

Yes. Cloud Plus is a monthly plan with no commitment. Cancel whenever you like. When you downgrade, ShotScreen gives you a grace period: files above the Included quota are not deleted immediately, they stay downloadable until the grace deadline so you can save anything you still need.
No. One Cloud Plus membership is linked to one ShotScreen Pro license. To move it to another license, remove the membership key from the old license first (in Settings); it is then free to activate on the new one.
No, not immediately. After you downgrade, existing shares above the Included tier stay available to download during the grace period rather than disappearing on day one. Once the grace deadline passes, storage returns to the Included limits. Links you delete yourself always stop working right away.
Yes, on Cloud Plus. You get a you.shotscreen.cloud subdomain out of the box, and you can point your own domain at ShotScreen Cloud with a CNAME plus a TXT verification record. Use a subdomain such as share.yourdomain.com. Pointing an apex (root) domain at the cloud would hand your whole website over to it.
On Cloud Plus you can set a password on any share. The file itself lives on a separate usercontent domain behind short-lived signed URLs, and visitors have to enter the password on the share page before ShotScreen hands out a link to the file. Share the password over a different channel than the link.
Every file that is currently online (screenshots, recordings and GIFs) counts toward your quota while its link is live. When a share expires or you delete it, that space frees up again. The Included tier keeps up to 10 files online within 35 MB total; Cloud Plus raises this to 5 GB with unlimited files.
